From The President - Ann Mason
The Board of Directors and I consider ourselves a vital part of the Jamestown area’s growth in tourism and are dedicated to improving the wonderful sense of community we all share. We are fortunate to have the Museums of Jamestown, historic downtown Jamestown, Brooklyn Square, 2 Colleges and many successful businesses in our footprint. Jamestown has a diverse group of experts throughout the City and so much of what you need everyday is right here.
We graciously support many of our members to make this a beautiful place to live work and play. This year we assisted the Jamestown Jammers opening day and their first parade. We participate in the Skating Academy events, DJDC’s festivals and have been very active in the Lucille Ball Desi-Arnaz Center festivals. We also have participated in 3 parades.
We have created a task force with DJDC and MAST to team up on events as to not duplicate services and as a result we participated in hands on Jamestown Day which escalated into the Chamber Beautification Fund taking the responsibility for Pine Park, a green space development in downtown Jamestown for all to enjoy.
We have been active in the Shop Chautauqua program and are asking all of the community to save your gas and time and shop local with the Chautauqua County Gift Certificate program. Our businesses are relying on you to help them grow!
